I just got a new jack board for my Motif xs6, because the old one got damaged. Before I even start, do you think I could trying putting the new one in myself?

That depends on your abilities. Replacing the JK board isn’t difficult if you are good with hand tools and careful, especially if you have some experience working on electronics. Once the necessary screws are removed, the XS hinges open. Be very careful to not allow the top to open beyond 90 degrees with respect to the bottom, or cables, etc., can be damaged. If at home, a couch can be used to help support the XS while working on it.

If you don’t feel confident, it would probably be better to have an experienced technician do the work.
