hi.

ncc500 -
Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

I’m going to presume that you do indeed want MOXF SysEx…
F0 43 10 7F 1C 00 00 00 0B 01 F7
...should work.

Data List for the MOXF:
https://usa.yamaha.com/files/download/other_assets/2/330242/moxf6moxf8_en_dl_a0.pdf

I hope that helps.

Thanks for the very fast reply!!!  It is very appreciated!!!

yes that’s what I need (moXF8)

the command you referenced

F0 43 10 7F 1C 00 00 00 0B 01 F7

won’t load either, but this time I get a device mismatch error.  I verified that the device is 14. At least progress.  ;-)

Thoughts?

The third byte in the message…
F0 43 10 7F 1C 00 00 00 0B 01 F7
...is the device number.

I set it to 10 in the message because that’s for device number 1, which is the default setting. Normally there’s no reason to change that setting in the MOXF, unless you have multiple MOXFs.

The more general case is…
F0 43 1n 7F 1C 00 00 00 0B 01 F7
where n = 0~F (device 1~16)

If for some reason you’ve changed the device number setting in the MOXF, then change that byte to match what you set.

Examples:
10 = device 1
11 = device 2
14 = device 5
1A = device 11
1F = device 16

MOXF setting…
[UTILITY] > [F6]MIDI > [SF1]CH > DeviceNo.

Thank you!  Thank you!  ThankYou!

It was set to 14 (now idea why).  I reset it to 1, and it works as you defined.

Again thanks and I owe you.  Not sure if you can send me a direct email, but if you can I will send you details on what I’m doing.

You don’t owe me anything - thanks is quite enough. (The folks at Motifator/Keyfax, however, would likely appreciate your support of the forum by making any purchases of MOXF-related material from the Motifator Shop, should the need arise. I personally have no connection - I’m just a forum member.)

If absolutely necessary, you could send a PM (Private Message) to me. However, I strongly prefer any discussions be made on the forum, so that others may benefit from the information.
