My MOXF6 recently started giving me problems with my IMac 27” 2013 model running El Capitan. I can get my mac to recognize the moxf the first time, but if i shut off the moxf and then turn it on again, my mac never recognizes it. If I restart the mac it will sometimes (not always) recognize it. I have reinstalled the most recent drivers 20 times since this first began happening. I have tried different usb cables and different ports on my mac (the cable is connected directly to my mac, no usb hubs inbetween). I am not sure what to do at this point. Restarting my computer usually fixes this but there have been occasions where it has not, and I have remedied the situation by reinstalling the driver files, which forces my mac to restart anyway. Is anyone else out there having this problem? Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks!

Exactly which “driver files” are you using?

Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver V1.9.0-2 for Mac, the most recent one. It is the same one I used for my first install.

my mistake, its actually 1.9.9 I am using, just did another install ill see how long it works for

The most recent MOXF driver is apparently Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver V1.9.10 for Mac

That driver version may or may not resolve the problem.
