Hi, I am a newbee in integrating my MOXF8 with Cubase AI 9 via USB. I succeeded yesterday to create my first song in Cubase AI. But I may have changed something on either the MOXF8 or Cubase, and I am not able to play the project I saved yesterday. When within the project I got to the VST Editor, I first get the message “Port Open Error” then if I try to click on the OFFLINE button on the top I get “Ports in the host app have not been properly set” (see screenshot). I also add the MIDI configuration and the VST configuration.
What actually works:
What does not work: there is no sound produced on the MOXF8 when I play the sequence. What did I do wrong? How to troubleshoot? Thanks, Pierre Image Attachments

Welcome to the forum. The following support articles should help in with port setup, etc. Did you install the MOXF Extensions, found in the MOXF6/MOXF8 Remote Tools? http://www.motifator.com/index.php/support/view/moxf6_moxf8_basic_audio_recording http://www.motifator.com/index.php/support/view/moxf6_moxf8_basic_audio_recording_ii http://www.motifator.com/index.php/support/view/moxf6_moxf8_basic_audio_recording_iii http://www.motifator.com/index.php/support/view/basic_midi_recording_with_cubase_and_the_moxf https://yamahasynth.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=404:moxf6-moxf8-editor-vst&Itemid=102 |

Thanks for all the links, very useful. It did not really answer my issue though. What I finally did is simply re-install all the Yamaha stuff - USB driver, editor and VST editor. And everything is now working fine.
