I am having fun jamming with the performance ‘’let’s Comp’’ USR 1 074
I have sustain on the piano but no sustain on the bass . Is it a polyphony
problem or is it possible to have sustain on both instrument ????

See page 116 of the Motif XF Reference Manual, specifically:

MIDI Receive settings—[F6]
RcvSwitch (Receive Switch)

This will be a PART Edit.  Select a PART (number) you wish to edit after entering EDIT, and then check the Sustain box on this Edit page, to instruct that PART to respond to the cc message from the Sustain pedal.
