Hey Folks

Do I still have to install and use the Yamaha Studio Manager
if I´m going to use the Motif XS8 as external Instrument
in Cubase ?

got my Motif up to date and I use the VST Editor 1.4.0 64biz,
Extensions for Motif 1.6.1, FW Driver 1.6.6 and Cubase 5.5.3

I´m on a win7 pc 64biz Intel dualcore with 8gb Ram for song writing sessions and post production.
Now I would like to benefit from the external Instrument function.
I have not used this feature so far.

How should an external instrument setup
between Cubase 5 and Motif XS be constructed to benefit the most from it for post productions ??

Opinions, Recommendations on the subjects for a external instrumets beginner please?

Thanks & Blessings

Studio Manager is not required to run the VST Editor.

If the editor was properly installed when you open VST Instruments in Cubase you should see the XS listed, select it and it will launch the editor and create MIDI and audio tracks for you.
