I am trying to use Motif XF as midi keyboard for ableton but it is not wrorking.
I am working on Mac with Sierra OS.
I’ve connected it through USB and downloaded the latest Yamaha MIDI-USB driver (and get the message no the computer “cannot access to a driver”

Any thoughts?

Does the XF show up in the Audio/MIDI setup utility?

No.
When I plug the Motif, it recognizes it (see image #1) but it doesn’t appear in the Audio/Midi setup window (see image #2).

When I connect other keyboard I have (Novation SL MK II) - it apears in that window..

OK, sounds like a problem with the driver.

I’d start by reinstalling that to see if that gets the XF showing up in Audio/MIDI Setup.

If it doesn’t, you’ll need to contact Yamaha support since they claim that the latest MIDI/USB driver supports 10.12.
