Hi all,

Please let me know how to backup my XF6 set up (wav samples, voices, performances) onto a USB so that I just have to load it onto another XF should I need to

I have formatted a USB on the XF, went to file, then under type, I selected all, then SAVE FL1 with sample, clicked on New Dir and nothing happened apart from a new directory. This folder is empty.

Thanks.

Selecting “New Dir” allows naming and creation of a new directory on the drive. That directory will be empty until something is saved to it. See (10) New Dir (New Directory) on page 238 of the XF Reference Manual (http://download.yamaha.com/file/48531).

There’s no need to create a new directory just to save a file, as long as you don’t mind the file being written to the drive’s root directory.

To SAVE an “All” file, see page 64 of the XF Owner’s Manual (http://download.yamaha.com/file/48528) and/or page 241 of the XF Reference Manual.
