... it seems like there should be an easier way to get to a part of a waveform in (integrated sample) TRIM...like a play head that goes across the waveform…

...does anybody know if there’s an easier way to jump to a part of a long sample in (integrated sample) TRIM?

If you want to edit Start, Loop, or End Points, rapidly spinning the Data Dial will accelerate the change in position.

Also (presuming your XS OS is updated to at least version 1.10 - most recent is 1.60), if a USB ASCII keyboard is connected to the TO DEVICE port, the position can be directly entered from the keyboard. Highlight the Point you want to change, type in the desired number, and press Enter. See page 5 in http://download.yamaha.com/file/8926
