Hi, I’m hoping that the Montage’s Faders, Knobs, and possibly some of the buttons can be assigned fast, and easily to any CC#, or MIDI message that one wishes, fast, and easy, without having to go through multiple menus, or complicated procedures to assign them. I’m guessing a one button switch to put it in MIDI-Master Mode or Control Mode, then it will show the every fader, knob, and button can be assigned to a any MIDI-CC needed on the touch screen, and easily view what each is assigned to. Save it as a Controller Preset, and have multiple Presets that can be stored for various scenarios.
Cheers,

Most software synths these days have a MIDI learn feature...you right-click or option-click or left-click on any knob or fader or button in the software synth’s GUI, and you get a pop-up window putting it in MIDI learn mode. Then you simply move the fader or knob on your synth that you wish to control it with. I know all the Arturia synths have this feature. Some DAW’s have it built-in as well...Digital Performer is one of those DAW’s with a built-in MIDI learn feature. |

Yes, that’s pretty much standard these days. But, I’m referring to times when you need to have a set of specific CC#s sent to a sample-library that requires specific CC#s to engage specific articulations, so I would like to assign multiple buttons, faders, knobs to transmit specific CC#s to switch articulations, or any other parameter that the Library reacts to. and save this setup as a Montage Controller set for that specific Instrument/Sample Library. This way, I have every thing ready in the Montage, as soon as I want to work with a specific sample library. |
