Cool, 5pinDIN, it works great. Thanks!

Even the idea of Master Effect VCM Compressor is an interesting solution. I could use it like a limiter for sounds from ES.
I was thinking: now I have motif XF and… it must sound! It was a pleasure to hear sounds with Master EQ like your advices.

Using a limiter for ES sounds is a cool option. The tutorial is very interesting and useful to understand (for me), what are we talking about, but not practical infos. I’m studying that, but How to work with INPUT and OUTPUT, ratio, release… where can I find some example?

Thanks for your time, 5pinDIN.

P.S.: I always have a lot of problems with search function in this site, but you always find the right post and the right tutorial.
HOW CAN YOU DO THAT! :)
in the past there was ‘behind the manual’, Power User Guide, now is more difficult to find infos. Even some post could be a little tutorial. but with no search function…

The VCM Compressor 376 has 16 Presets - I suggest that you try them (starting with “Basic") before making further adjustments.

I usually use an external search engine.

If you want general hits from Motifator, use this form on Google…
search terms site:www.motifator.com

For support articles in particular…
search terms site:www.motifator.com/index.php/support

Of course, choosing the right search terms gets better results, so if your first choice doesn’t work, try again.

Many thanks, I’m studying those tutorials.
With this new point of view, I noticed that Yamaha already used master FX and master EQ for their performances, so even if they say ‘no’, they know that ‘volume issue’ must be solved in some way. Sometimes they boost preset waveforms with voice element EQ. But the main volume is seldom used at 127. Could be interesting to know why…

I found this thread http://www.motifator.com/index.php/forum/viewthread/458598/ (Thanks for the advice) a cool explanation about VCM compressor.
As usual could be great to have practical examples, or just to know: Where to start? I know, sorry, I’m not a sound engineer. But now I understood the way.

Thanks for help 5pinDIN
