Thanks. Glad to know they continued with flash. (There’s a board for disk streaming.)
For intrigued XF users, the integrated flash capacity & write speeds is of interest. The allure is FM-X, integrated with the Motif. Glad that my time learning AWM2 & XF may be able to be applied to at least this next line.

Hi --

Thanks very much for the link!

Of course, there are a zillion unknown details. Will the UI really be easy to use and navigate? Are there improved pianos and Spectral Component Modeling (SCM) electric pianos? Does the Montage continue phrase-oriented composition? How much internal flash memory is set aside for user samples? How much weight do we need to lug to the gig? What is the street price?

Hey, hey, all the best—pj

Thanks for the info. Montage Looks Good !

I’m looking forward to know more details about what Montage can offer, I’m quite sure it will be a big hit at NAMM. I also wonder if YAMAHA has anything else to delight us as far Synths this Winter NAMM ?

Well, Winter NAMM 2016 is a few days away. So, Lots of buzz and info. will begin spilling out soon.

Cheers,
Muziksculp

Sounds like SY77 / SY99 reloaded :-)

AWM2 plus FM-X ... amazing that Yamaha dares to bring out this in 2016!

But maybe they try to do it again, kill the (retro) analogue market with FM ;-)

I have YamahaMontage.com
Yamaha can take over this domain name for free when they want, because of the trademarks.. When they don’t need the domain name it would be a cool name for a hobbyist site :)

Are you going to at least ask Yamaha to reimburse you for the GoDaddy domain registration fee?  ;-)

http://4wrd.it/Fake

The photo looks like a low-quality Photoshop job, the specs are very unrealistic “double everything”, the “super knob” is placed at the very wrong place for a performance controller, the “brand-new” GUI is not really shown on the screen. Also text layout and wording of the ad do not fit with other content.

The real page 224 of the February 2016 issue has a Fender Custom Shop ad.
