Hallo everybody,

I’m working on a project with an audio and several midi tracks on
C 8.35.
I would like to give a more “human” feeling to the piece, since the timing is now too perfect.
By creating a tempo track and switching the tracks to musical mode, I could make little changes to the tempo.
Is there a way to automaticaly randomize the tempo let’s say 1-3 % ?
Is editing the “swing” in the quantization preferences the right/only way to do it (in an automatic way)?

Greetings

If you are asking about a way to automatically place small random changes into the tempo track, I don’t believe that is possible.

In the Inspector you will find MIDI Modifiers, which have a Random option. You can choose position, velocity, length, maybe some others...don’t have the manual handy

Read the manual for details about how to use these

In the future don’t over-quantize. 100% should only be used when you want that robotically perfect feel.

Good luck.
