Hi All,

I’m having a problem with this command.

Basically I’m trying to create a few melodic passages going in Pattern mode.

I thought I could then use Pattern Job - ‘Phrase’ 07 Put Phrase to Song and just blast them into bits of a song as I needed and then just go back into the song and then fine tune it.

Instead I’m getting chopped notes.

When I work in [EDIT] mode in Song I can see what’s wrong.  The command copied not just notes, but PC (Program Change) events at the start of each sequence.

Yes true I can work hard to go through and Delete them one by one that this sounds a bit daft.

I don’t have a problem with hard work.  I like hard work.  But I like it to be productive hard work.

Sorry for sounding naive, I know that’s me but I thought that was what working in Pattern mode was all about.

I can as a work around use the Song job - ‘Track’ 08 Copy Phrase within Song to copy the notes but that seems a bit clunky.  I might just have to do it but I’m wondering if there is another alternative.

Can anybody give me light it seems a bit dark out here!

Briefly thanks so much SpinDN it makes it easier knowing that i’m not the only one suffering!

Actually it’s possible they want you to work on complete loops made out of section A, B, C.. etc and in that mode try to ‘Visualise’ how they could end up in worked songs and finally use Song Job - ‘Phrase’ 08 Copy Phrase to ‘bring them in’.

Edit: actually the Program Change ‘bug’ is probably not a ‘fault’ as such it’s just that it’s not mentioned in the documentation.  Just read the documentation and it rewords exactly what the command sounds like and adds nothing about the Program Change.

Edit-2: even more funny, lol I’ve just seen in Pattern mode - Pattern Chain [F5] | [EDIT] [SF3] Song (Convert to Song) (p.174 User Ref. Manual) there IS an option to copy/not copy the Program Change Event
