Viewing topic "I hope I can achieve a reggae synth bass and smooth flute like organ sound by editing the Motif XF7"

I have only used the built in presets of my XF7 so far.
I see that the Beez Kneez B3 patches and Organimation are only patch parameters without any samples.
So that suggests all the waveform samples required to make many organ sounds are already in the XF.
Maybe I could learn from the patches of these two libraries.

I want an organ sound or sounds for reggae that are smoother, no percussion click and very simple. I call it flute like because I think that may be the description on organs or something.
But a very simple almost sine wave like organ good for the reggae bubble rhythm.

I also want to make a dead simple analogue synth bass sound or sounds. Again almost sine wave like. On an analogue synth you just pick a waveform, filter it with a low pass until it has the smoothness your after. Then edit the amplitude envelope to make it a bit decayed and released to make it like a finger pluck sound rather than a flat funk moog bass style envelope.

Any tips on achieving this?
I do possess ‘sound advice’ which I haven’t watched yet. Shame on me.

I own a copy of Organimation, and the library has 60 VOICES that are “component” in nature...just a single drawbar or double drawbar sets that can be used alone for very pure, simple sounds.

They are also intended to be used in PERFORMANCES, where the “components” can be layered and mixed in real time for combinations on-the-fly.

See attached Organimation VOICE list sample for examples.

Did you ever find any good parameters for a smooth organ bubble?
