Does anyone know where i can acquire or has anyone created a ‘Polymoog-Vox Humana’ voice for the Yamaha S90ES? If so, can this voice be shared or is it available to purchase? Any response to the specific question would be most appreciated. |

Well I can’t tell you if anyone has for the S90ES, I was looking to get this exact sound for the MOXF8! I did find this article: http://www.keyboardmag.com/create-sounds/1256/steal-this-sound-gary-numans-cars/28419 The author recreates it on a Roland synth. There is a SoundCloud link the end result. I’m looking for this exact sound, sounds like you are too! Sure somewhere here on the forum could program it for the S90ES and the Motif/MOXF, I don’t think I could though: https://soundcloud.com/keyboardmag/voxhum-replica?in=keyboardmag/sets/08-2011-steal-this-sound |

I just got myself a Novation Mininova and a “Numanova” sound library created by Matt Jessup - Gary Numan’s synth programmer! I gave up trying to figure out how I might get this sound on the MOXF8. Then while searching around to see what else might do it for fairly small outlay, and I came across this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHxCpDROrsw Hope that helps. For the small amount of money the Novation Mininova costs, it was worth it IMO. I will control the Novation synth from the MOXF8 as I have massive hands, no way will I try and play those small keys. But listen to those sounds! So, there you go. If you want to get Vox Humana forget it on a Yamaha digital machine! Novation Mininova plus Matt Jessup’s soundpack and you’ll be sorted! |
