If I buy a sound bank from the XS Shop, will it work on the XS Rack?

How do I edit a brass synth sound so it acts like a piano (fades out, not just keeps the full velocity till you release the key)?

How do you create a split using the XS Rack??

It all depends…

See AEG (Amplitude Envelope Generator) on page 80 of the Rack XS Owner’s Manual, or on page 31 of the Synthesizer Parameter Manual (http://download.yamaha.com/file/48523).

Splits are done using Multi mode. Each Part’s note range can be set using Note Limit. See Note Limit Lo/Hi on page 95 of the Owner’s Manual.

Typically your controller will transmit on one MIDI channel. The Receive Channel of the two Parts should be set to match that. See Receive Ch on page 94.
