Turning on Parameter with Voice is important. Also, make sure that Insertion Effects are turned on for the Part.

The awesome software by John Melas has a function that allows you to copy an exact voice into a song, so it sounds just like it did as a voice.  I believe only a single voice within a song can be done like this, but I used it all the time, especially for voices with unique effects (e.g., tremelo)
