So I just finished editing a voice in the voice mode and saved it to a user patch now I want to record the voice.

Is there a way to go directly from the voice patch in voice mode to record? I tried saving the patch I was working and then going into pattern mode to record but the effects are not the same

You cannot record in VOICE mode.  Going to SONG or PATTERN Mode is a good approach.
