What’s up with the Shop number being disconnected? If there is a new number, why is the old number still being advertised? |

That number is still good, but only in the U.S. You may need to dial a 1 first to get it to work. +831-477-1205 should work from everywhere else. |

To clarify, Comcast, the provider who handles our internet and phone, ‘lost’ (their words) our 800 number. Fortunately, they found it again and everything is now back to normal. Comcast apologized to us profusely for this as it was 100% their error and not ours. However, for any company to have its toll-free number suddenly be ‘disconnected’ or ‘discontinued’ is potentially catastrophic, as posts here clearly indicate. For their error Comcast has offered us $30 off our next bill. The community can draw its own conclusions about how appropriate such a gesture is. Thanks to all concerned for your patience and understanding. |

Whoa, 30 bucks eh? Where to spend such a windfall? Hopefully it comes in one fell swoop and not installments. You probably had at least an hour on the phone straightening this out. Better than a stick in the eye I suppose, but then again, most things are. |
