Hey,

I know this has probably been covered before, but I wanted extra input.

My MO6 has a key that plays voices at full volume regardless of how hard you strike the key. Sometimes it responds normally but not consistently or predictably.

I saw that you can get a replacement contact strip

Is this likely the issue?

Thanks,

Horace

Typically, key contacts can either become contaminated or worn out - it’s rare for the problem to be anything else. Contamination can be cleaned, wear requires replacement of the rubber contact strip.

Do you intend to do the work yourself?

I’d like to hire someone to fix it for me.

I emailed a local music shop about that.

Any other ideas about finding someone to service the keyboard?

I don’t have any suggestions concerning service techs, other than making sure whoever does the work is experienced at it. It’s not difficult, but it’s certainly possible to do it incorrectly.

If you’d intended to repair the MO yourself, I’d have referred you to a source for the service manual.
