Can a Motif 6 Main circuit board be used in a Motif 7? I know that when the keyboard wakes up it says Motif 7. Will that present a problem if the main circuit board originally came out of a 6?

The DM board part number is the same for the Motif 8, 7, and 6.

I believe that communication between the main board and the keyboard via the E-bus during boot-up determines which model the Motif “thinks” it is.

However, I refuse to take any personal responsibility for that belief, so you’re on your own.  :-)
