Hello,

A certain voice (St:CelloEnsem in S90ES) would fit my goals, but its attack is too abrupt and loud for plausible legato and demiduendo. I tried to use the built-in S90ES voice editor to alleviate the attack, but did not succeed. A suitable solution would be gradual growing of its amplitude from 0 to 100% during first 0.2 seconds.

Is this possible for S90ES?

I think this question is of general interest for all Motif models.

To adjust the AEG Attack, see page 114 of the S90ES Owner’s Manual.
Also see the [SF2] VEL SENS (Velocity Sensitivity) section on pages 137-138.

If you don’t have the manual, a PDF copy can be downloaded:

Thanks a lot 5pinDIN! I not only succeed to alleviate the attack but also got beautiful pan tweaking in this voice. BTW, does a detailed voice editing manual exist, which describes all these graphical voice tweaking means?

You’re welcome!

The Owner’s Manual has the information, although it can take some effort to find the correct pages. If you have only a paper copy, download the PDF, which can be searched for particular terms.

There’s also a Synthesizer Parameter Manual which might be of some help:

In addition, there are Voice and Multi Part Editors (as well as several other useful downloads) available here.
