Have you used the Mutec FMC-07, 2GB Flash Board that Mutec claims is compatible with the Motif & MOXF? If so, how goes it?

Yes, I remember those threads well. And surely, a refresher read will help. From what I recall, there weren’t all that many reports of actual users. I’d think that XF & MOXF users would be all over the Mutec 2GB Flash board, as it takes what’s very useful about the XF/MOXF and doubles it. I’ve brought it up again to see if there are more folks using it, and with positive results. (I.e., it works, and there’s no perceived latency.) Maybe I was mistaken to start a new thread. I did so to give the discussion a chance at a clean slate,

It can “double it” if the individual samples are large enough. That limitation is covered in the linked threads.

I’d think that by now if there were problems, they would have been brought up on the forums. However, I don’t see any problem with your having started this thread, and I encourage anyone who’s been using a Mutec 2 GB module to post their experiences with it.

I’ve used it on a MOXF8 without any problems.

Hi,

I’m using 2x2 GB of these boards in my XF.

No issues so far.

And that’s the blessing I was looking for. 2x2. Oh yeah.

To get the XF signal-to-noise higher …

Anybody else using the Mutec FMC-07 2GB Flash Board? If so, is it working out well? No perceptible latency, right?

I haven’t as yet tried the Mutec 2GB board, although I’m tempted. It would be interesting to hear from others who are using them. However, I wouldn’t expect there to be any more latency than with the smaller Yamaha flash boards, since the Mutec boards use the same chips, just higher capacity.

And mine too, unless I end up going over to the dark side and buy The Synth That Must Not Be Named.

I just looked around, though, and I don’t see anywhere that’s selling the FMC-7. Sweetwater doesn’t have them, apparently, and neither does Amazon. Google Shopping seems not to have heard of them.

Where do you buy these?

Thanks!

My wife will be very amused. I have this same level of skill finding things around the house… :-)

Is there a limit on the number of waveforms per flash board? Or is there just a limit for the entire XF?
