Have .wav file that I put on USB from Itunes. When I press “FILE” the .wav file is only recognized as WAVEFORM and is not recognized by ALL
I initialized a voice patch, (PRE 1)
Then went to FILE and highlighted my .WAV file.
Then pressed EXEC (SF1) and it indicates loading. However the initialized voice patch returns to factory and .wav file is not there.
Any Advice?
Thanks |

An “All” (.W6A) file can contain a Waveform, but it’s a lot more than that. A .WAV file is not the same as an “All” file, and it won’t be displayed when the Type is set to “All”. See page 157 of the MOXF Reference Manual.

Are you looking for the User Voice in the location where you STORED it?

(Thank you for your input!)
Following all the steps in User Guide page 284, I loaded the .wav file (which came from ITunes) from my USB to an initialized VOICE patch
Once the loading is complete (and it does indicate that it is loading)
You asked
Well, I believe by entering the above info, I did look for it in the proper location. (The USER Voice patch that I chose.)
One thing, though.....The user Manual refers to “Select ELEMENT (for a normal voice) or KEY (for drum voice.
Thanks again..... |

I’d like to help you, but we seem to be going around in circles.
Exactly which model do you have?
Once we determine what you have, it will be easier to provide accurate information. |

Sorry for the confusion.......
I’m almost sure the .wav file (5.6MB, 44.1 KHz sample rate)
I believe I need to be explained how to find the Waveform in the one of the 2048 WAVEFORM slots and then convert(?) that to a User VOICE (or performance).
Thank you.

Thanks for clarifying the situation. Based on what you said previously, it seems that you successfully loaded your WAV sample to the flash module as a User Waveform. Once it’s loaded, it can be treated like a Preset Waveform. The next step is indeed to be able to access it via a Voice. To do so with a User Voice, you have to select your Waveform as the Oscillator in an Element. See the MOXF Reference Manual, pages 38-39, [F1]OSC > [SF1]WAVE, Wave Bank, and WaveNumber. If you select “user” for the Wave Bank, and the correct WaveNumber, then STORE the choices, that should do the trick.

Thank you once again.
It took me a while to figure out the piano was in one of the other elements, and simply turning off that element now allows me to play the.wav file all by itself. ALSO for other readers. I did finally come accross a detailed diagrammatic lesson of loading a single .wav file to MOXF in Part 2 of the MOXF Flash Memory Guide http://www.easysounds.eu/MOXF_FlashGuide_en.pdf This will help you avoid a lot of work and frustration My thanks again to 5pinDIN for his patience and expert advice......! |
