Is it possible to assign the pitch bend wheel in Motif XS 7 to control [removed]Midi CC11)? Or if not the pitch bend wheel, then the ribbon controllor? Or any other way? What I want to acheieve is to have 2 controllors availble to contrl CC1 modulation (modwhell) and another to control CC11. Thanks |

Welcome to the forum, NADH2. There are so many possibilities that it would be difficult to give a short reply. However, there’s a support article covering the topic very well. See http://www.motifator.com/index.php/support/view/motif_xs_working_with_and_understanding_physical_controllers |

Thank you for the replies. I think I did not explain myself well the first time. I am using my Motif XS both as a stand-alone synth, but also as a Midi controllor together with DAW Sonar X3. So, for example, I am playing the keys on the XS, and its playing a soft synth inside of Sonar. I want to be able to turn a wheel/knob/fader on the XS to control CC11 Expression of the soft synth. Is this possible? |

The simplest way to do this is to add an expression pedal, but you can assign the ribbon, the two assignable knobs to any CC you want. That would be a better choice than the bend wheel. |

Using information from the article I previously provided a link to, you should be able to do what you want. You might also consider a Master Mode Zone (Understanding Master Mode). The rest depends on Sonar X3. |

Thanks for the help again. I managed to assign CC11 Expression to one of the Assign knobs. Is it not possible to assign one of the 8 sliders to CC messages? |

No, the sliders are not assignable. |
