The casing om my XS7 is begining to fade close to where the volume is located. I was wondering where I could find a spare case part to replace it. Other than the casing, the board is in excellent condition, but the fading/discoloration is really starting to bother me.

Any recommendations appreciated in advance.

Any section of panel / casing would have to be a Yamaha part so you’d need to contact a Yamaha service center I think. Anything is replaceable, most likely, but I have never heard of such a request or situation so I think it is probably relatively rare. If you use the volume slider that much maybe you should also consider a volume pedal, to share the workload!

My recommendation would be to leave things as they are, and consider MrMotif‘s suggestion. Besides the cost being a possible consideration, unless you have the Motif XS Service Manual, proper tools, and experience working on this type of equipment, it’s a job that could lead to more problems than what’s currently bothering you.
