So I’ve always been able to take my song material from the XF8, save it to my network as an SMF file and then import it into my DAW (Currently Cubase) for Recording to Audio.

But I was wondering if I could somehow reverse the process and take my MIDI compositions from my DAW and transfer them to my XF8 as Song Data?

I don’t want to simply be able to play the SMF file via the XF8, but to save that file into the XF8 as a Song as if I’d created it on the XF8.

Is that possible?

You can set the file Type to SMF, select a destination Song number, load a .MID file, and then STORE the Song. The data will be limited to what’s in the SMF, but of course can be edited just like any other Song once it’s in the XF.
