Can someone run me through how to connect up my Rack XS to my MacBook Pro so that I can edit and save the sounds in the module from my computer and use my Alesis Q88 USB/MIDI keyboard controller to play the module through USB? My need is for live performance and I don’t want to have to go out and buy and learn DAW software if I don’t need to. Thanks.

All you need to do this is:

- The latest Yamaha USB Driver (for Mac OSX)
- The latest Yamaha Rack-XS Editor Software - standalone (for Mac OSX)

Both can be downloaded from http://download.yamaha.com

The Editor software can run either as a VST plug-in, or in a standalone mode - which is what you want. It’s pretty self-explanatory once you get it all installed.
