When I played a keyboard voice, volume would suddenly fade. Classic Motif 6.  After 5-15 seconds it would restore volume.  This happened on several voices.  Could be my Roland amp, but noticed that it happened when I switched inputs too.  Any ideas?

Not enough information. Try headphones, if it does it in headphones then that eliminates your amplifier.
If it doesn’t do it in headphones, that’s a good excuse to upgrade your sound system!!!
