(1) I have Firmware 1.05. Is it very crucial that I upgrade it ? I believe the current most updated version is 1.08 correct ?

(2) USB cannot be more than a 2GB ? ALSO like details on specs, etc., on USB.

If you plan on using other software (editors, USB MIDI drivers) then updating to the latest OS lets you use the latest versions of that software.

What sort of specs are you interested in for the USB connection? While 2GB is the limit for thumb drives, you can also attach larger USB hard drives...I used a 60GB (tiny by today’s standards!) bus powered Western Digital drive for many years...if you’re having trouble finding a small thumb drive.

(1) Please advise me on the FORMAT, etc.

(2) ALSO, there is a LIMIT on what can be loaded to the MOTIF ES in ALL, regardless of how much material I have saved on it (like a 250 GB Western Digital passport EXT Hard Dr) correct ?
