Hello Motifator folk,

I’m trying to record midi information from my Moxf keyboard. I assumed the board was sending out this information ( default) but I’m not seeing any data being recorded. ( cakewalk /sonar). I’ve read the threads on using the usb port for this but I’m just wanting to use the midi out connection. Am I wrong in thinking this should be enough? and do I have to go into the “Utilities” menu to make the board “Output” my midi performance all the time?

Welcome to the forum.

[UTILITY] > [F6](MIDI) > [SF4](OTHER), select MIDI if you want the 5-pin-DIN connectors to be active rather than via USB.

See page 150 of the MOX Reference Manual.
