If you head over to: and scroll down to about the center of the page, you’ll find the file named “MX49/61 Voice List for Cubase” This was a really convenient file that could be placed right into Cubase and would actually give the DAW information about the different voices on the MX so that the MIDI data that got recorded into Cubase could be sent back out to the synth so that the instruments would sound while monitoring (still as MIDI data). As of now, there is no file like that that is available for the MOXF (see http://download.yamaha.com/search/product/?site=usa.yamaha.com&language=en&category_id1=16277&category_id2=16381&category;_id3=&product_id=1816956), but I was wondering if there ever would be, because I really liked the functionality that the file brought to the table, and I thought that it would be great to use the MOXF in the same way. Are there any current alternatives? Thank you! |

Why wouldn’t you use the Yamaha VST Editor? Here’s an article that outline how to set up Cubase with the MOXF… http://www.motifator.com/index.php/support/view/basic_midi_recording_with_cubase_and_the_moxf Click on the link at the bottom of this article for a deep dive into using the VST editor. |

Excellent recommendation, jazz.preest… ... We whole heartedly agree!!! (It appears the link at the bottom of that article is ‘broken’) not to worry - we answered in the Steinberg Forum heading: To Wafflewaltz: Please see your other post in the Steinberg Forum, as it really involves setting up Cubase. |
