I just noticed this, which makes me think my home unit might need repair.

Move the Master Volume slider on the Classic to full. Note: adjust your amplification accordingly.
Then select any track in the sequencer, and using the Control Sliders, turn the selected track down to zero. Play the keyboard. There is a scaled attack transient across the keyboard. The XF does not do this. The ES does not do this. I will check my gig unit when I get to work tonight. Again, it may be a repair issue. I will keep you posted.
