First I want to thank everyone for being so helpful here! I’ve really learned a lot so far. When I do a mix down I get this error:

the export range is empty. please set left and right locators

I have the range set.

It sounds like you are asking a Cubase question. The Left and Right Markers determine the region of measures that will be rendered as audio. They are just out of reach in your screen shot - but from what I can just see it looks like you tried to set them to 1-33.

In the floating TRANSPORT (press F2 on you QWERTY) you will see the L (left) and R (right) Marker read out. Until you tell Export audio MIXDOWN the exact region you want to render it will not have enough information to create the waveform.
