I am trying to record a song. I recorded a piano voice on track 1. Then I went onto recording a voice on track 2. I selected track 2 in Song mode, then selected “Electric Violin” voice and stared playing the voice but it does not sound as the original voice. Basically, the effects are not there at all. What am I doing wrong?

See Parameter with Voice.

You need to check this option before you bring a new VOICE into a Song PART.

Also, you must be certain that the insert effects for the new VOICE are activated from the SONG MIX screen.  You will see the check-boxes there for activation of dual insertion effects of up to (3) PARTS at a time.

Note that even having the original Parameters with Voice, and the Insertion Effects active, you will still need to apply overall System Effects to the SONG (or PATTERN) MIX.  System Effects (Reverb and Chorus) are always stripped off of the VOICE when it is brought into a SONG or PATTERN.  It is not logical to attempt to bring System Effects with each VOICE chosen.  Only (1) brand new set of System Effects can be used for the overall MIX.

See This Guide for best practices concerning the wide range of effects at your disposal.
