Bad_Mister, I can accept that once my Patterns are turned into a Song, I will/can record one track at a time to my DAW. So if my Song is 3 minutes long and has 8 stereo tracks, that means it will take around 24 minutes to do so, correct? If I can record two tracks at a time, that will cut the time to 12 minutes. PLEASE don’t kill me for asking this question my Mentor :-) If one has a MOTIF XF with a FW16E, does that mean the record process should take around 3 minutes? If so, that saved 9 to 21 minutes is “Mama mia, that’s-a spicy meatball-a!” to me. Forever your Padawan, Jerry |

Sorta Jerry - if you have a firewire card, and IIRC, you can send up to 16 separate audio parts (or 8 stereo pairs), so yeah you can record a song, assuming you have no more than 8 parts (or 16 mono parts assigned to left and right) on your PC in one pass. Here is a link to some further reading (one of many I might add) http://www.motifator.com/index.php/forum/viewthread/460896/ Dennis |

Re-read this thread (especially my 2 and 1/2 cents comment), it will make more sense now… (I hope)!
