Where can I purchase the Yamaha MOXF8 Bag (soft-sided case) as shown on the Yamaha website?  I have searched the internet and can only find the Yamaha MOX8 Bag, but not the MOXF8 Bag.

The MOX8 and MOXF8 have the same dimensions, so unless the labeling is important to you, a MOX8 bag will do.

I would really like to find one that has the MOXF8 label.  Do you know if they will eventually be made available for sale?

The MOXF8 Bag as shown on the usa.Yamaha.com website is available through any authorized Yamaha Music Production dealer. You can call Yamaha on Monday to find a dealer near you

Hello there,

We are working on getting in the MOXF bags. Unfortunately they have NOT yet been made available to Yamaha authorized dealers. That is the theory; the practice is that it takes a little longer for new items to actually ‘be’ orderable from one’s own Yamaha sales associate at head office!

Realistically, it’ll be right after the New Year when these very nice and stylish looking bags will be physically available and we will make an announcement as soon as that happens.

I have to push it hard to fit in.

Even if the sizes seems to be the same, the two synths are not exactly the same.

Now I have ordered the MOXF bag and hope that it will fit.

It’s not an issue of differences between the MOX8 and MOXF8. The MOX8 was a tight fit in the MOX8 bag. See this.

If the bag was redesigned, the fit might be what you want.

If you still aren’t keen on the new case, I got a MOX8 before the Yamaha bags existed, and got the Gator GKB-88. For a soft case, it is fine, tough material and plenty of padding - no wheels though!

Bad experience with the MOX8 bag: it is already torn, in fact I found too tight for the MOXF.
It cannot hold the keyboard inside.

I used it for one month and it is already gone…

Is the one for MOXF better?

Yeah, I got the Gator bag too.  At first I had gotten the Gator 88 “slim” bag but it was too tight a fit for my MOXF8, could squeeze it in there but it was too much effort and probably would have ripped the bag before long.  Went back to Sam Ash last night and they let me trade it up towards the regular, non-slim Gator 88 soft case for just $10 bucks more and it fits perfectly.

Believe so, I will double check the labeling and the tag on the soft case when I get home later this evening and update here but I’m pretty sure that’s the one.

Following up days later that intended, but I did check my soft case and yes that is the one I have, very happy with the way it fits my MOXF8, quick and easy to get it into and out of; the two thick velcro straps inside provide good security and cushioning, it’s lightweight and there is plenty of storage room on the outside pockets.

Well it’s mid-February and I can’t find any MOXF8 gig bags available anywhere.  Only two online stores that I’ve found even list them in their inventory (Sweetwater and Gearnutz), and they both indicate that they are currently out of stock.

I’m thinking about purchasing a MOXF8 soon, but I’m a working musician and will not take my gear to the gig without a case. I also don’t want a generic case not designed for this specific board (I’ve had bad luck with that approach in the past). 

Any idea when the gig bag might be available??
