Hi I only had my MOFX for about an week.
I know how to do splits and layers making an performance.
But is it possible to do splits & layers with more than 4 sounds?
in song mode or something?

I like to be able to do splits & Layering within the multitimbral 16 channels if possible?

Yes it is. Take your time.
If you have been studying making four Part Performances (and I highly recommend you become familiar with all the Performance mode parameters before you start experimenting with building them in a MIXING program) you will notice that the parameters of the MIXING program are exactly the same parameters found in a Performance… With one very important difference… You can combine Parts by using the MIDI RECEIVE CHANNEL parameter found in Mixing.

So to activate a PART to play simultaneously set its Receive Channel to a specific MIDI channel. If you set multiple Parts to channel 1, for example, when you select the Track [1] button they all will sound.
From [MIXING]
Press [EDIT]
Select the Part by number [1]-[16]
Press [F1] VOICE
Press [SF2] MODE
Here each Part has a receive channel parameter

You will also want to understand and learn how to COPY a Performance into a MIXING program.
In MIXING
Press [JOB]
Press [F3] COPY
Press [SF3] PERFORM
Here you are given choices about copying various type of data into the current Mixing program.

Thanks;) You are right!! I find myself lost in the menus at times:)
But that’s a good thing....it means the MOFX has lots of options!

That said are there any advanced tutorials for the MOFX.
I have the MOX videos but as good as they where.
I like to see more advanced ones.
