I currently have the MX61 and would like to upgrade to the MOXF6 I also use another keyboard to control the MX when I set up the keyboard to control the mx to change banks and presets I use
BANK MSB 63
BANK LSB 80
PROG CHANG 002 for example

Would those numbers be the same for the MOXF6 ?

With the MX, MSB/LSB = 63/80 would select the Performance Bank.

With the MOFX, there are two Performance Banks:
MSB/LSB = 63/40 would be User 1
MSB/LSB = 63/41 would be User 2

Oops, you’re right. I accidentally gave the hex (rather than decimal) value for each of the MOXF LSBs. Thanks for the correction.

Ah Yes .. I just saw that post now.. I was experimenting and thought that I was going Crazy .. LoL
Thanks for the corrections

Also Discovered that for a Voice Change:
MSB=063
LSB=000
PRESET NUMBER EX: 001

Now that worked for Preset 1 but Im not sure if its different for other catagories ?

Just discovered something else:
When another keyboard is controlling the MOXF6
When changing from a Voice preset to a Performance Preset it made the change, but I had to physically depress the mode button to the other in order to hear the change.

Ex: I was controlling the MOXF6 from another midi keyboard when I made the change to a grand piano from my other device/keyboard, I wanted full grand (voice) to appear on the mosf6 but nothing changed on the screen on the moxf until I depressed the Voice button and saw that the change had been made but couldn’t hear the change until I did that..

For Normal Voice:
PRE2… MSB=63, LSB=01
PRE3… MSB=63, LSB=02
and so on

The Bank Select MIDI Data Table on page 123 of the MOXF Data List gives those and the rest.

Under the Bank Select information in the Data List:
When only the Program Change is received after entering any of the mode, the corresponding voice in the currently selected Type/Memory is called up.
The Master number and the Performance/Song/Pattern/Voice mode can be changed only via the Parameter Change.

A Parameter Change message is SysEx.
