Is Yamaha going to offer The MOTIF Premium Collection Promotion to new MOXF 6/8 buyers? Yes, I know this promotion is for the MOTIF XF 6/7/8. But, after seeing Blake Angelos’ Kraft Music video describing how wonderful it is to load “the premium collection into the MOXF”, really made me want to buy a MOXF; thus my question. Perhaps Yamaha could honor new MOXF purchases until December 31, 2013. HHNET |

Visit the Yamaha site in your particular area of the world and do a search for current PROMOTIONS and REBATES. It would be out of line for us to speculate or announce out of order any promotions or rebates that are GOING TO BE available, until they actually become available.
We see you are located in the USA:
The data that Blake was referring to is already available for download at the official MOXF download site: navigate to the MOXF6 or MOXF8 page… not only are the firmware, software, and Manuals available but also downloadable (FREE) content.
Type in MODEL NAME: MOXF6 or MOXF8

Bad_Mister I appreciate your detailed response. I have the PDFs already but didn’t know of the free sample library downloads. I simply forgot to look at Yamaha’s FTP. I really like the idea of having all of the XS samples also, so since the promotion is not happening for MOXF8 I will just buy the Flash kit with all that good stuff. Just would great to get it free, but I surely don’t mind paying for it. Yamaha has a lot of my money LOL Am really excited to buy the MOXF8. By the way I really enjoyed your MOX8 DVD too ;;smile;; Many Thanks HHNET |

Thanks much, Bad_Mister. I found the files for download. To install these files on the MOXF8 do I need the flash board installed? Jesse |

Yes, you understand correctly. The “F” is for flash… For those that want to increase and customize the available WAVE ROM of the instrument, which means the MOXF can be reinvented. Add the optional FLASH board and you can load the sample libraries made for the top-of-the-line Motif XF, or you can create your own custom sounds, even transfer audio tracks ("stems") from your favorite DAW… The potential is mind boggling. In the coming weeks look for tutorials on the some of the potential use for FLASH and how you can make the most of it. |

Bad_Mister Shall be acticipating your Flash tips & tricks tutorial(s). I just bought a MOXF8 from AMS and they tell me it will ship NOV 15. I am very excited to have the XF sounds in the new MO X and the ability to load in free & purchased samples as well as use my DAW comps. HHNET |

Thanks! And...hmmm… I don’t find any content data. This is what I get when I select the MOXF8, and select All (drivers, software, content data, etc.): 5 items found Driver Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver V1.8.4 for Windows (64bit) 10.55 MB 6/3/2014
Driver Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver V1.8.3 for Windows (64bit)
Software MOXF6/MOXF8 Remote Tools V1.0.1 for Windows 24.76 MB 13/2/2014
Software MOXF6/MOXF8 Editor Standalone/VST V1.6.3 for Windows
Software YC-3B (VST Instrument) V1.1.2 for Windows
Am I doing this wrong? |

When I click on the link I provided in my previous post (where it says ”here”), I get a page with “79 items found”. If you don’t see that, then something is blocking access. |

Thanks, all. First I thought it was Firefox because when I opened the “here” page in Chrome, I saw the list of 79. Then I noticed that when I used Yamaha’s filter, I had the Windows 7 64-bit selected in Firefox (but not in Chrome). When I undid that setting, all 79 showed up.
Gratitude…
