I’ve found arp time signature info in the owners manual and I know how to set the drum tempo, but how can I set a 12/8 time signature.

Thank you

Sorry? The MX does not have a built-in sequencer… So you cannot set the Time Signature.

Learn something new every day.  Thought perhaps some of the built in drum tracks had this feature.

Had what feature? Time signature is not really something you change after the fact. It is something you must define before generating the data.

A 3/4 Waltz is a particular feeling… You cannot take a Funk groove in 4/4 and change it to the feel of a waltz by simply changing a time signature parameter. A waltz is a waltz… Just because you count the funk groove:
123 412 341 234 does not make it sound like a waltz… The accents are all wrong.. The funk is still accented on the back beats… And it’s feel does not change, only how you count it changes.

All arps and drum phrases are pre-recorded data while you can change the quantize and swing quantize, you cannot change the Time Signature.
