I have a software arranger program called Varranger. Varranger allow me to import an INS file so I can match voices in the midi notes it sends. I think I should be able to do what I am trying but maybe I am confused. Here is what I have so far:
> I have set receive channel on the Mox to omni so midi can be recieved on all 16 channels.
What I am not sure about is do I use voice, performance, song, or pattern to have Varranger play the keyboard as a sound module. I seem to only be able to find the GM bank in voice mode. Can anyone give me some advice? I am a fairly new owner and have downloaded the Intro to Mox video’s and plan to start viewing them this weekend to get more familiarity with the instrument. Thanks, Terry |

This is the wrong use of Omni mode, please set the receive channel back to Channel 1. When the MOX is in Voice or Performance mode this is the MIDI Receive Channel. And as soon as you select one of the two SEQUENCER modes (SONG/PATTERN) the MOX is automatically set to receive on all 16 MIDI channels.
Sorry, we don’t know what this means, you loaded it to what? We know you did not load it to the MOX, it cannot read INS (?) files
if you are in Song or Pattern mode the keyboard transmit channel is determined by the currently selected TRACK, and the MIDI channel that the track is set transmit on.
Why? Does this program record MIDI data? If you are not echoing signal back from the software, this will mean you cannot play the internal sounds with the keyboard.
When you want to use your MOX Multi-timbrally on separate MIDI channels, select one of the two Sequencer modes SONG or PATTERN, it is logical that this is where you would find the Multi setups… Press [MIXING] Here you can select 16 different Voices, one per Part, each Part on a separate MIDI channel 1-16.
