Just recently purchased the Motif XF8 and want to know if individual tracks can be exported to CuBase and then subsequently exported out of Cubase as .wav files?

Thanks!

If by individual tracks, you are referring to MIDI data, MIDI tracks can easily be transferred to Cubase. In fact Cubase can open Motif XS ALL data files and extract our XF Song directly into a Cubase Project.

The XF can also record audio tracks to its internal Integrated Sampling Sequencer, these tracks (which can be exported as .wav) can also be easily imported to your Cubase Project using the same IMPORT > MOTIF XF SONG feature.

We are not sure what it is you are asking exactly… Perhaps you think Cubase can magically turn MIDI into audio… Well, it’s good but it cannot do that Not without you adding an audio interface. But if you record the audio to the XF’s internal SDRAM,, then you can import that audio to Cubase… Without having to purchase an audio interface.

Perhaps this thread will help fill in some of the details.:

Thanks!  Now can these tracks be individually exported out of Cubase as .wav files?
