My band is learning “Locked Out Of Heaven”. I have all the voices nailed down and ready to go but there’s a couple effects I haven’t quite figured out.

1. First, what I’m trying to do is to tap 1/4 notes with a pan effect similiar to a pan delay but these notes won’t be sustained. In other words, as I’m tapping the key the sound is being panned left to right, back and forth. Is this something that’s possible?

2. The second issue is; Is it possible to have a sound, again while being tapped on the key, to be pitch-bent up while playing without the use of a pitch wheel? I’ve run out of hands to do it. I guess almost like a portamento but while being tapped, not held down.

These are things that I could live without if I can’t figure it out but it’d be cool to have it if I can. Makes it even more authentic.

I hope I explained this well enough. If you listen to “Locked Out Of Heaven” this might make more sense.

Thanks!

See http://www.motifator.com/index.php/forum/viewthread/464483/
and pages 122-123 of the XS Owner’s Manual for information on Alternate Pan. Note that it’s applied on a per-Element basis.

I’m not exactly sure what you’re asking for in your second question, but it would seem that adjusting parameters of the PEG (Pitch Envelope Generator) might do the trick. See pages 115-116 of the Owner’s Manual for details.
