I’m creating some analog-synth type voices from the Wv-Pad, Wv-Analg, and Wv-Bass waveform categories and was wondering what the name of some of these waveforms means. For example, I figure the ones that begin with ‘P5’ are ‘Prophet 5’, ‘OB’ are ‘Oberheim’, ‘PWM’ are ‘Pulse Width Modulation’, and ‘Mini’ or ‘Mg’ are Moog. but what about the ones that begin ‘VP’, ‘XP’, ‘P10’, ‘P25’, and ‘P50’? Also, just curious if anyone knows the actual source of the waveform samples in our XF? Are the ‘P5’ waveforms really sampled off a Prophet 5? Are the ‘Mini’ & ‘Mg’ waves really sampled from a Moog? Thanks! |

Thanks Dave. Do you (or anyone else) know if the XF samples were actually made from the P5/OB/Mini synths? |

On this topic..... Are there any XF patches that are basically setup to emulate a Minimoog? I’m looking for a patch that uses three elements, each with an “MG” waveform. On every factory patch that I checked, I saw more P5 waveforms than MG. I would like to have a “go to” patch for Minimoog sounds that I can tweak the front panel on. |
