Hello,

I’m new at this forum and I’ve learned much already but there is one thing I can’t seem to figure out.
I have a V-machine which I only use for an organ VB3.
And when I use expressions the MOX responds well but the V-machine doesn’t. The volume does change but not much.
When I use volume the V-machine works fine but the MOX doesn’t respond at all.
I would like to use one pedal for both machines.
Could someone please help me figure this out.

Thank you

What pedal do you own.

For your MOX get a Yamaha FC7.

I have a KORG EXP-2 which has been working fine in combination with a Yamaha Tyros.

Does anyone know why the MOX doesn’t respond to volume but does with expression?
That would solve my problem.

Your solution is to get the Yamaha FC-7 pedal. Forget about using the Korg
pedal - that does not work at all with the MO X. If it works with the Tyros then fine, but it will not work with the MO X.

MOX does respond to both expression [cc011] and volume [cc007].  What it apparently doesn’t respond (as-desired) to is your Korg pedal.

Regardless of what other machines your current pedal does function with, if it doesn’t work with your MOX, then it doesn’t help you much.

A Yamaha FC7 pedal will work very well with both expression and volume messages to the MOX.

I’ve both pedals.  IIRC the Korg has a 10Kohm pot, whilst the Yamaha is a 50Kohm.  I’m not sure about the pinout compatibility. I remember checking this out before buying the FC7 (I already had the EXP2).  The bottom line is you need the FC7.

Thank you all for the good advice.
The FC7 is working like a charm.
