I am a newbie and I am getting ready to learn
Cubase AI4. I am using one of two audiointerfaces
that I bought.Remember I am just a newbie and
just want to start with as simple set up as possible.

Choice 1-Phonic Firefly 202, since I have firewire
on my X/P. Not the most powerful laptop but it
is upgradeable to 2G.I have a 6 pin to 6 pin cable
with an adapter.

Choice 2-Using my quad core amd laptop I could
use my Presonus Audiobox via usb.

I have an audiotechnica 4040 mic and and a pro 35
for my woodwind instrument.I have a Yamaha U16 driver.

I have an active monitor. I am going to get help
online through one of two online tutorials. I am an older
student but, now that I have a MM6 it makes sense
to use it to its fullest potential.I have been songwriting
for about twenty years, but going to the studio. Now I
am retired so I can not afford to go to the studio anymore.

Which setup is going to be less of a headache?
I really don’t want to buy any more hardware right
now other than a nice headphone.

P.S. I know where to get the driver for the
Phonic Firefly 202.
