Is it possible to mass transpose all the tracks in one section?

Thank you.

This seems more useful for performance mode.  I’m in pattern mode and need one section to change keys, then switch back.

Lets say part A is set to 0, I need part B to play at +1, then part C to be back at 0.  This way when I make the chain, it’s flawless.  Basically I’m too lazy to play up one key ;-)

The article referred to by MarPabl is exactly what you need. Just read it once.

I’ve created two scenes that show up in both pattern and song modes.  My question is once the song is created, how do I automatically change the scenes, so I can record the audio with the key change?

Remember, it’s all the tracks that will be changing keys. I can do it manually in both modes, but the scene selection is not available when I record the song audio.  I’m so close.

SCENE Events can be documented on their own dedicated track within a SONG.

Even if you create the SCENES originally in PATTERN mode, they are automatically transferred (along with your Mix setup) to SONG mode when you convert the CHAIN to a SONG.

You can record the SCENE change events in real time or you can manually place them (for accuracy) by editing the SCENE TRACK. The SCENE EVENTS can be recalled via automation as well - that’s the whole idea and what you should have gotten from the article. In a similar fashion to how the CHAIN documented you pressing the SECTION buttons to create the CHAIN, the SCENE buttons can be documented to the dedicated SCENE Track. And just as you could EDIT the CHAIN’s Pattern Section Events, you can EDIT the position of the SCENE MEMORY Recall Events. Make sense?

You create this SCENE Track in SONG mode (it only makes sense to do it after the linear composition has been constructed).

For REAL TIME RECORD, from SONG mode
Press [RECORD]
Move the cursor to the TRACK column and up to select the SCENE TRACK
When this track is placed in record it will document you pressing the [SF1] - [SF5] buttons recalling your stored Scenes.

You can edit this data or manually place it by simply calling up the SONG
Press [EDIT]
Press [F4] TRACK SELECT which will toggle between the three types of Tracks.
Here you can accurately place your SCENE MEMORY EVENTS
Select [INSERT]
EVENT TYPE = SCENE MEMORY
At the appropriate Measure:Beat:Clock place your SCENE MEMORY EVENT by pressing [F6] SET

This is in that article (seriously, it is)

As I was getting frustrated, I came up with a solution.  Once the scenes were created, recreate the song via chain.  Then I switched to the song mode and hit record, I manually changed the keys/scenes at at right spot and presto!

I missed this posting, but thanks.  I got the general idea from the article, but the specifics of the final recording/change were vague.  I did what you said, and changed it on the fly after hitting record in the song mode.

Thanks for the help.
