It’s been a while since I posted (or lurked here)...Hoping someone can give me a shortcut to help me out. I have an iPad (v1) and would like to lighten my load when gigging with my XS Rack by taking the iPad (and not my laptop).
Two things:
I expect that the setup will look something like this:
2. There are a lot of “gigging” set list/notation readers available. Do fellow Motifator’s have favorites? I’m hoping to output my charts and crib notes (along with related notes for the program numbers), probably to PDF’s. I’m subbing with an EWF tribute band, so I’ll definitely need to have notes. Thanks in advance - Pat |

I have iPad2 and tried MultiEditor and Voice Editor with Rack XS. I have connected Rack XS with iPad2 using USB and Cammera connection kit, but it was not possible to use MIDI connection with external keyboard since applications don’t provide such a solution (MIDI through). One possible way is to use iRig MIDI, since it has MIDI through (Yamaha MX1 has only MIDI in/out). Good thing is that those apps works fine, Rack Is immediately recognized without any driver installation. Moreover, controling voices with fingers on touch scr is very simple and fast. Alex |

I had no idea the ipad apps could be used with the Rack XS! I can’t find nothing on Yamaha’s ipad apps anywhere on the internet or this site. Are they hiding somewhere? After some more digging, I managed to find this: http://usa.yamaha.com/products/music-production/accessories/apps/ Sweet! |
